Real Estate Brokerage Management

Brokerage Management is a 30-hour Washington qualifying education course designed for licensed brokers preparing to advance to a Managing Broker license. The course focuses on the practical responsibilities of managing and supervising a real estate brokerage, including broker relationships, supervision, delegation of authority, transaction review, firm policies, compliance oversight, trust accounting, recordkeeping, audits, fraud prevention, recruiting, training, productivity, coaching, accountability, and leadership.

Throughout the course, students learn how Washington laws, rules, and brokerage systems work together in real-world management situations. Emphasis is placed on identifying who has responsibility and authority, creating effective supervision and compliance systems, protecting client funds and records, managing affiliated licensees, and recognizing when management intervention is needed. The course also helps students develop the decision-making skills expected of a Washington Managing Broker while preparing for the course final exam and supporting preparation for the state licensing examination.
